Course Description
The course is designed to improve business and managerial practice through the development of the personal, intellectual and academic abilities of participants; it has a strong and committed focus on managerial and professional practice and seeks to link the rigorous study of work-based problems and issues to personal and professional development, thereby ensuring transfer of learning into organisational and managerial practiceThe taught element of the course focuses on supporting research design and application through examining current and topical methodological questions and debates; this element is provided by the School?s leading professors and researchers; 5 modules are delivered in short study blocks each of 2 days duration over the first 2 years of the course.
Additional Entry Requirements:
MPhil, MBA or other Master's-level degree in the field of business and management or organisation studies; managerial experience or substantial organisational and managerial observation; and the potential to conduct research and write a thesis at doctoral level; candidates whose 1st language is not English require IELTS 6.5 to including 6.0 in reading and writing elements or TOEFL 600 including Test for Written English (TWE) 5 or above.
