Course Summary

Course Description

The course enables students to develop their critical skills which enable them to cope with the demanding roles of management in the economic crisis that may affect organisations for a generation; it teaches students to develop strategic thinking and innovative, entrepreneurial skills which are highly sought by employers; the taught element of the course focuses on supporting research design and application through examining current and topical methodological questions and debates; 5 modules delivered in short study blocks each of 2 days duration represent the taught element over the first 2 years of the course.

Managing and leading strategically; the dissertation; the international consultancy project and a choice of elective.

Additional Entry Requirements:
Diploma in management studies (DMS, or equivalent), and degree or relevant professional or academic qualification of degree standard or above (e.g. postgraduate certificate in management), and a period of work experience incorporating operational responsibilities (usually not less than 4 years), and employment in a public or private sector, for-profit or not-for-profit organisation.
