Course Description

The course comprises core and elective modules.Core

Semester 1: business ethics (social role of corporations, ethical theory, ethical decision-making and business ethics management); macroeconomics for business (analysis of money and foreign exchange markets, labour market issues, unemployment, inflation and economic growth); business economics and finance; business decision-making (modelling decision making, decision making processes and optimisation); semester 2: strategic marketing (marketing management and strategic planning); managing people at work (theoretical and practical issues of people management in the contemporary competitive economic environment); research for business (learning organisations, the knowledge society, knowledge management, managers as researchers, research design and methods).

Additional Entry Requirements:
Good 1st degree (equivalent to a British 2nd Class Honours degree, a 4 year university degree) and proficiency in English; applicants must have IELTS 7.0 or TOEFL 600; non-standard qualifications considered, e.g. considerable management experience.
