Programme provides a solid foundation in various functional areas of maritime business; integrates these themes through courses dealing with organisational strategy and the dynamics of organisational change; requires the submission of a 12,000-word dissertation; core courses: professional update and development; the maritime business environment; financial and accounting management; business analysis and systems; logistics, operations and marketing in shipping; leading the human resource; strategy and transformation; managing shareholder value; maritime policy for managers; consultancy; research methods; dissertation; 1 option from): economics of international shipping; public shipping law.



Additional Entry Requirements:
Good Honours degree or equivalent; minimum 3 years business experience or other professional experience (a significant proportion of which should be in the maritime sector) including 2 years at management level; a candidate aged 28 or above with a minimum of 7 years experience but lacking a 1st degree or equivalent may be accepted at the discretion of the programme leader; where English is a 2nd language: an IELTS score of 6.5 is required.
