Course Description

The course is an exciting and innovative programme designed to provide practising managers with the advanced research and analytical skills necessary for progressing their careers to a senior level; the part-time programme has a distinctive international flavour and is run and awarded jointly by Newcastle University Business School and Grenoble Ecole de Management; it is tailored to accommodate the requirements of working professionals.

During the 1st 2 years of the programme, 4 workshops are held (2 in Newcastle and 2 in Grenoble) focusing on research methodology; thematic lectures relating to students? research topics are also delivered; the programme includes structured taught elements in the form of specialised research methods training workshops and other doctoral-level training workshops.

Additional Entry Requirements:
Normally a 2:1 Honours degree in any subject or a Master?s in management (MBA, MA or MSc) from a UK university, or equivalent qualification; at least 3 years' management experience, pre- or post-Master?s; applicants without a Master?s, but with substantial business and professional experience, are also considered; applicants whose 1st language is not English require IELTS 6.5, TOEFL 90 (internet-based), 577 (paper-based), or equivalent.
