Course Summary

Course Description

The course combines a demanding core of general management learning with the opportunity to study areas of personal interest through elective modules; it includes a compulsory business consultancy project which allows students to tackle a real business issue in the workplace; students must also write an additional management skills report, to complete the programme; this assists in their career development by enabling them to reflect on their own business skills and strengths; both reports are mentored; the programme is designed so that executive MBA students and full-time students share some teaching; this is an important feature of our programme as it enables students to exchange ideas and experiences, and to network; the course is taught in Canterbury or Athens.

Accounting and financial management; the corporate environment; international business; managing people and organisations; managing processes; marketing analysis and planning; strategic management; plus 2 elective modules from: international marketing; corporate finance 2; strategic supply chain management; a systems approach to managing complexity; entrepreneurship; strategic social and environmental management; intercultural communications, leadership and management (Athens); business report (consultancy project); management skills report.

Additional Entry Requirements:
Good degree from a UK or other approved university and/or an equivalent professional qualification, a minimum of 3 years managerial work experience, and evidence of progression and successful career (to be demonstrated by CV); GMAT or GMAT waiver statement; a non-refundable £1,000 deposit for students who accept a place on the programme; senior managers who do not hold a university degree may still be considered based on an assessment of their management experience over 10 years or more.
