Course Summary

Course Description

The course develops scholarship and academic skills to support reflective practice; enables critical reflection on key areas of theory, empirical research and values underpinning educational management and leadership; analyses how the policy context impacts on educational leadership and management; supports the creation of personal and professional knowledge through research and enquiry; and supports students' development and role as strategic thinkers, leaders of learning and school improvement, and managers of resources.



Additional Entry Requirements:
Good Honours degree (or its equivalent) and relevant leadership experience at a senior level, for example as an assistant or deputy head or headteacher; graduates of the National Professional Qualification for Headship (NPQH) automatically gain 30 credits towards the course.
