Course Summary

Course Description

The programme focuses on the financial and strategic management of banks and other financial institutions; students gain practical insight and skills in a range of financial and strategic management in financial services.

Compulsory: Induction module; bank financial management; international banking; international finance; marketing strategy; corporate strategy; managerial economics; research methods; human resources and organisational behaviour; optional modules (choose 2): Islamic banking; Islamic finance; international financial management; investment and private banking; research project.

Additional Entry Requirements:
Good degree in relevant disciplines; alternatively, suitable professional qualifications and practical experience may also be accepted; minimum of 3 years experience at a relevant level; applicants without a 1st degree or professional qualification may be accepted under exceptional circumstances; if native language is not English, applicants must provide satisfactory evidence of adequate knowledge and understanding of written and spoken English: IELTS: an overall score of 6.0 with no individual score of less than 5.5; TOEFL: 560 with a TWE (written score) of 4; computer-based TOEFL: 220, (Internet-based TOEFL) is 80 with no element below 16; students who have undertaken 2 years of education entirely through the medium of English directly prior to entry to Bangor University, are not required to submit an English Language test certificate.
