An executive MBA is aimed at professional businesspeople who have several years of experience in industry. It is a course that allows students to study alongside their regular job.

Essentially, the main difference is that an executive MBA is taken whilst the student is working – so alongside their regular job, instead of full time.

What will I study on an executive MBA program?

Executive MBA programs differ quite considerably from traditional MBA programs. Members of each class begin at the same point, move through the curriculum together, and complete the degree requirements for graduation as a group. As the content is aimed at more experienced business people, you should expect the course to focus on more advanced management concepts. You will also be expected to complete a final management project.

Length and structure

An executive MBA program will normally take between 12 to 29 months to complete, with a focus on team learning. Classes are usually held on Fridays and Saturdays to avoid interfering with your weekly work schedule. Students will be expected to take periods of residential work, with many courses involving foreign field work trip.

You should allot at least 15-20 hours each week for your international executive MBA program.

You may have to demonstrate the following:
 

• A minimum of seven years work experience in a senior managerial postion
• Language proficiency
• GMAT score
• Personal recommendation
